About me

I’m an artist and entrepreneur living in beautiful Laguna Beach with my husband Chris and our little dog Joujou. With Mediterranean roots and a deep love for art, language, food, wine, and the wide open ocean horizon, I’m naturally in love with Laguna.

If we’re not having neighborhood gatherings over wine, home-made pizza, meditation, yoga or business brainstorming sessions with our local friends, there is probably an art day happening with paint, canvas, brushes, wine corks, a pottery wheel, and just about any kind of art-making you can think of.

Art has always been my saving grace. It’s been a part of my life since I can remember. As a child, I used to tell people that I came from the sea and I would doodle mermaids on my school booklets. In class, doodling helped me retain learning. Outside of class, art helped me get through emotional times.

Whenever I felt sad or anxious, or needed to find peace, wisdom, or find myself again, art was there for me. It became my mental healer.

Very often I would start a piece without knowing what I was going to draw or paint. In fact, I would just become the watcher of my hands and it was like the art piece was just using me to become visible.

Color was what I would start with. And from color, I would trust and flow.

As I let go of me, of the ego, and of any planning, and just let the brush or pencil (or whatever medium) take the lead, I would come out of my body all while becoming centered within my deepest truest self.

This is why for me, art is healing. Art is wisdom. Art is all-seeing and all-knowing.

Art is a portal into our higher selves.
